Re: Danny Ings SIGNED (and already injured)
Yeah the recruitment policy really bugs me. All the money spent previous window was such a scatter gun approach and we now have players that don't fit or can only be sold at a loss.

You'd be envious of how the likes of Brighton are run now, top manager, top recruitment etc. It can be done with the right people in charge.

yeah, spot on that, Manners. Stadium aside, its always been my biggest issue with these. I just don't get how you can do something for 30 years plus and still be so fucking bad at it

Oh and how many things has Moyes/the club back tracked on?
Redbull model
Playing passing football
Only buying young hungry players who can improve the squad.

How is the Everton situation much different to our own? We’re only 3 points above them. Only difference I see is their fans are being much more vocal.

It’s the one thing we do take a risk with… buying injury prone and old, past it players. We stopped doing it for a while but our manager has managed to get us back where we started in spite of the spend and talent at his disposal. Some achievement really, to take that investment, that talent and get those results ;-)

Michael Keane gets injured a fair bit? The Andy Carroll treatment centre at Rush Green will soon be extended ( another portacabin added )

I honestly believe Sullivans ingrained history of 'doing a deal' has made other clubs despise dealing with the club on transfers even if it's done by another person they know he's there in the background.

Add in Moyes is a prickly character who plays negative football and you have this scatter gun approach on steroids......

Yeah, Everton are the only ones close to us.

I'd love to know the 4 other clubs who are remotely as bad as us in the way we're run.

Re: Danny Ings SIGNED (and already injured)
We have never had owners, directors etc smart enough to build up from the ground and put a vision in place throughout the whole club, you need highly intelligent, savvy people to do that.

Every summer, or best case every second summer, we are trying to clear out a load of dead wood, paying players to leave etc, which tells you that we never learn as far as recruitment is concerned.

Re: Danny Ings SIGNED (and already injured)
Everton would give us a run for our money, especially when it comes to wasting money.

our training facilities are among the worst, our recruitment must be up there with the worst.

there's a real lack of direction and organisation and we blunder our way through seasons. even when presented with a great opportunity to progress we manage to balls it up.

“ we are the worst run club in the prem, by some distance “

That is fucking hilarious 🤣🤣

I can think of at least 5 clubs whose supporters would tell you different.

We are the worst run club in the prem, by some distance.
There is no thought, no planning, no due diligence, piss poor training facilities, awful social media I could list a lot more. We are so far behind now in the so called modern game both on and off the pitch.

What is it now 51 strikers since Sullivan was at the club? And Antonio is the most prolific of them? Not sure you could be that unsuccessful even if you tried to fuck it up.

It won’t help the feeling around the clubs. I reckon another protest before long. Funny how nothing at all has changed, yet a few wins last year and all was forgiven despite everything.

Re: Danny Ings SIGNED (and already injured)
Anyone else see Moyes interview the other day where he said that “he wanted someone that wasn’t a risk and Ings was as good as it gets”?

Who the fuck is advising who at our club?
Granted it’s an impact injury and could happen to anyone at any time, but can anyone name any other club where this happens? Or even any player it’s happened to at another club, we’ve got a collection and are going for the full set.

Ings is now Sullivan's definition of "Big names the fans are screaming for".

Save a few bob a job. Sorted, innit?

"The 30-year-old, who had several niggling injuries during his time at Villa and had to be carefully managed in training"

Must have missed that small detail then. Screams of steer clear

Its a fucking joke we cannot just go with Antonio

Re: Danny Ings SIGNED (and already injured)
It's all very predictable and boring, and we know it won't just be a few weeks. Hopefully the old git will be back for the run in. So back to just Antonio again. Should shut the club down it's that much of a joke.

Re: Danny Ings SIGNED (and already injured)
Maybe injured players shouldn't get paid, or at least just get statutory sick pay!! Maybe they should claim for ESA! Only half joking, I mead how many of the rest of us would get full pay for a month of because you have hurt your knee?!
